From the editor

When I first corresponded with Bob ten years ago, when I was assembling JEF 23, the famous tribute volume to our great mutual friend, the late Raymond Federman, Bob's contribution to that volume really impressed me. I had hoped to see more of his work some day, and now I have the great honor of publishing it! It resonates with subtle humor and acute observations. Raymond would have been very proud. But although this has the touch of Federman to it, it is not Federman. It is uniquely Casella, and it is a delight to encounter Bob's unique sensibilities, wit and charm.

Don't Sing Aloha When I Go

Don't Sing Aloha When I Go is the only book-length work Robert Casella has published, issued by JEF as Journal of Experimental Fiction 49 in 2012. It arrived roughly a decade after Casella first turned up in the press's orbit as a contributor to The Laugh that Laughs at the Laugh, JEF's tribute volume to Raymond Federman, who died in 2009.

Casella had corresponded with Federman directly, contributed to the tribute, and JEF eventually published him at book length. Outside the two JEF appearances, his only located print credit is a short piece in Keyhole magazine issue 10 (2010).
